There’s big horsepower gains to be made from proper head porting and BC offers CNC ported cylinder heads that are IN STOCK and ready to ship for immediate delivery for the Honda Talon 1000 platform. These heads deliver the best flow characteristics in terms of strength, direction and condition of the air/fuel charge as it enters the cylinder through the intake valve. If you have exceptional charge motion, the cylinder will continue to fill even after the piston hits bottom dead center (BDC) and the air/fuel charge will evenly disperse in the chamber. All of this working cohesively makes horsepower. Each head design has seen extensive R&D, thousands of miles of testing, both on the dyno and out in the field in order to determine the absolute best performing combination of parts that also delivers unprecedented reliability.

All heads come with BC bronze guides installed and your choice of valves depending on your intended application. The valve spring/titanium retainer kit is sold separately.span> If stock bottom end, we recommend the stock diameter valve setup (36.5mm stainless steel intake / 31mm Inconel exhaust). If running a full race application, recommend the big valve setup (37.5mm SS intake / 32mm Inconel exhaust) for added flow and performance. Then it's alacarte on the remaining valve train. Choose from the BC single spring wound by PAC and BC titanium retainers and BC camshafts (new cores...not regrinds!) are all available as add-ons.

Heads are available fully loaded and lashed with the optional BC parts but requires you to supply the Honda OE buckets, rockers, shaft, seals, lash adjusters, keepers, spring seats, etc...for an added assembly fee of $200.

Core Exchanges - If wanting to use your existing cylinder head as a core exchange (must be in excellent condition), that head must be sent to BC for inspection prior to shipping the CNC'd head. Allow 2 weeks. Used cylinder head is worth a $500 credit, new head is a $700 credit towards the CNC head.
